The domestic market capitalization reached MNT 2,510 billion in 2018, showing an increase of 2.9 percent from the previous year. Therefore, market cap to GDP ratio of Mongolia reached 9 percent, according to the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia. A rise in market capitalization was due to an 2.7 percent increase of the TOP-20 index and a rise in number of new products in the domestic market. 

In 2018, several companies were delisted as these companies were not implementing their obligations as public joint stock companies and their securities trading volume were low. Trading volume on the MSE has risen in 2018 due to number of new products launched in the domestic market. As a result, total market liquidity increased by 5.2 percentage points to 8.4 percent in 2018.
